We manage to download and convert it to either ART or EXP format, and save it onto the USB stick. However, the Bernina machine cannot read the USB stick, and gives an error message "insufficient memory", although the stick is otherwise empty.
Can anyone assist?
Hi, I too have just got a Bernina Deco 340 and experienced a similar problem. Firstly, the file needs to be a EXP format for this machine (it won't recognise any other), secondly, to get the design saved on the usb stick you need to use the "save as" option in the Bernina software (the only way to save designs to a usb for use with the Deco is via the Bernina software, they won't work any other way i.e. downloaded direct to usb from internet, I haven't actually tried this but believe its true). If you use the "write to card/machine" option in the software it will only recognise Bernina or OESD usb sticks, that is why you must use the "save as" option for any other brand of usb. Last but not least, you must create a folder called "EmbF5" and put the designs in to it or the deco won't find them (you can create subfolders called anything you like within this folder e.g. animals, flowers, etc. to help you organise yor designs). That should sort you out hopefully.
