(1) Working principle:
The basic principle of piston air compressor is to rely on the piston moving reciprocating in the cylinder to reduce the volume and improve the gas pressure. The basic structure consists of several pistons, piston rings, valve parts, crankshaft bushes, etc.
Screw air compressor also relies on reducing the volume of the blocked space occupied by gas to improve gas pressure. Like piston machine, it belongs to volume compressor. But related to piston machine, the structure is much simpler. It is mainly composed of a pair of screw rotors with high machining and assembly accuracy, which are arranged in parallel and meshed with each other. Through the change of the volume between the teeth of the screw rotors, the purpose of tightening is achieved.
Advantages: Screw machine is a new technology which has entered our country only in recent ten years. It has remarkable advantages such as low energy consumption, high quality of exhaust gas (low dust and oil content, low temperature of exhaust), stable exhaust pressure without pulsation, low failure rate and low noise.
(2) Efficiency and maintenance:
Piston air compressor: valve, piston, piston ring, connecting rod bush and many other vulnerable parts, the reliability of continuous operation is poor, on the one hand, it will affect consumption, on the other hand, it will increase the cost of maintenance and management. Compared with screw air compressor, piston air compressor has lower efficiency, especially long-term continuous operation, and its economy is worse. Because many of the contraction chambers made up of piston air compressors are fragile parts, the wear and damage of these fragile parts will lead to greater leakage when gas is compressed, and ultimately the efficiency will be greatly reduced.
There are no vulnerable parts affecting the efficiency of the screw compressor. A pair of rotors that stop the compaction do not contact directly and will not show wear condition. Therefore, the economy of long-term continuous operation is much better than that of piston air compressor.
(3) Motion mechanism:
Piston air compressor is a reciprocating motion mechanism, which has an irrevocable inertia force. Therefore, when it runs, it has large vibration, high noise, and needs a special fixed base when it is installed in a larger piston air compressor.
The screw air compressor is a rotary motion mechanism with good balance, low vibration, low noise, no need for the root of the device, and at the same time, it prevents the pollution of the working environment.
(4) Gas supply:
Piston air compressor is a reciprocating continuous air supply, and the air flow pulsation is large when it runs.
