2010-01-30 16:16:17 As little girls we all dreamed of that beautiful boy at school, knowing he was far to pretty for us, but yet there was still a part of us that remained hopeful that he might see something special in us. I think that is a big reason why so many girls and women love Twilight抯 leading lady, Bella. She is described as just an ordinary girl, shy in a lot of respects. She doesn抰 see it, but there is something special about her; she is just herself. Bella is not a girl that tries to be anything more or anything less than who she already is. Even though she is shy she has an inner strength; throughout the book her strength is revealed more and more.

I believe she is a role model for an age of girls where there is nothing more important than how you look. How pretty you are makes or breaks you. We see young girls obsessed with how they look and dress. This is why I think it is a good idea to encourage our young girls to want to be more like a Bella and less like a Paris. Bella抯 look is natural. She doesn抰 feel like she has to be covered in make up; this is what makes her stand a part from all the other girls at her school. Guys take notice that she is beautiful because she is just herself. Young ladies and girls can learn a lot from this aspect of her. Teaching them to love who they are now, will lead to them being strong women later.
