Acquiring logo permissions

Hi. Does anyone have experience in obtaining the appropriate permission to use a sports logo? In particular, I'm interested in college logos. What office would I contact? What licensing fees/royalties are typical? Thanks.

Our company also looked into it, but you have to jump through hoops to do it, here is a link with some helpful info about NCAA licenses
