Need help with my digitizing
Hey folks. My Bother in law and I have started an embroidery business, and we are doing real good right now
I need help with an issue. We have been doing local area Race teams and local schools. The images they are using are pretty intense with color. I do the digitizing, and have got fairly good at it. The school stuff has gone smoothly, and the race teams are real happy with our work, but we aren't happy. it seems after we digitize a sponsor logo and run a sample. The end product doesn't match what we are seeing on the computer. The image when viewed in 3d view, show a nice tightly stitched image, but once run, we have small gaps. like one color is offset. at first we thought maybe the machine was off, so we had it serviced to make sure. Now when we run our school stuff, no problem, but then go back to the team stuff and the offset comes back. I have tried to thicken the image before digitizing, changing the stitch density, and pattern, with no success. can anyone give me a little advise, or suggestion to look into, Thanks. |

Well you can get misregistration from a couple of things, hooping or the sew sequence. Of course if the hoop is loose you will get fabric moving resulting in it not fitting, but also no matter how secure your garment is, it is going to shift. I have found over the years that, yes, you are going to have to adjust your design for each fabric. I have also found that the larger fill areas(of course) affect the fabric most. If you want perfect fit of things I break the design down into a lot of needle changes. For instance, if there are many colors and each has an outline, instead of doing all the colored areas and then sewing the outline I will sew one color then its outline, the next color and then its outline, adjusting the digitizing so that when it is done the outlines overlap in a way that you cannot tell it was broken down. Also I throw the data out of fit on the computer for it to be in fit when it sews in some instances. whew, hope that makes ANY sense!!
