need help learning to digitize with richpeace

Hi all, I'm new here and would like to learn the basics of digitizing as it has been asked of me to learn this new program from my employer. I have been embroidering for over eight years and would love to be able to accomplish this but I find I am missing pieces of the puzzle. With just myself and a users manual.. I find it a bit more daunting than I had anticipated. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This really helped me to understand the basics of digitizing. I have a bernina machine and use Designer plus and Generations software...use embird to convert to different formats.
Do a search for Digitizing 101, it's a bit pricey but it was worth it to relieve my frustration. I found mine used via google.
