Don't be sucked in by the promise of one click digitizing... and don't get me started on the Drawings software.... it defines bad quality digitizing. It is not a professional digitizing software and only a sales person would quote it as one.

the drawings software is only as good as the artwork you provide it. if you create the art correctly it will give you good quality. I have even seen it do a better job than an experienced digitizer. Now granted the art was difficult because it was what I would call sketchy and broken up. and i have seen it do a terrible job. drawings is just another tool learn to use it and it can save you time, and make you money.

I choose Compucon v2, it's user friendly and it's good for editing.

I-Cliqq is quite simple and new.
You can find some info about it on Youtube if you search 'Embroidery Software'

Not all software is expensive , but generally creating software that really works well isnt cheap , so in many ways, you do get what you pay for.

I-CLIQQ might be fun to look at
If you get on youtube you can just search 'embroidery software ' and you'll find a few clips.
I see you discovered what many professional embroiderers know..lol. It sure sucks to find that out the hard way..but then such is advertising ...anything to part people from their $$ , even if its all not really true.
I-Cliqq will probably be seen as the #1 software for everyday power functioning and new developments. Its pretty interesting if vectors interest you too..
You're right..there is no one click solution to quality production embroidery , but with the right tools , it can be simpler to incorporate vector art.

Most people get sucked in by the promise of instant embroidery , and then get severely disappointed when they find the realities are very much different.

bye
