Pulse X2 software

I got to see the new Pulse X2 software at the Artist plus level......not much different than the Xi....has a few extra things...more fonts (if you like pre digitized fonts..I personally like digitizing my own...gives me more control), some other tools...not enough to constitute the 600$us upgrade...oh well.

Yes...price of upgrade is too much. But it has some benefits esspecially at Maestro level.
As you said main difference is at lettering...more fonts, more options with fonts...very good thing is automatic overlaping object at lettering. It gives you more control...then you have font preview option...etc.
Nice is also Garment Preview for begginers to see how certain design should look like on garment.

Anyway i'm great Pulse fan...

Pulse is all I have ever used..so I dont have anything to compare it to. It seems like to me that, especially with embroidery, companies like tajima and others want to charge for everything. Nothing is cheap, even tajimas' forum costs money to join.

Hello!

I am currently on my Free trial for Pulse X2 at Artist Plus and Illustrator Level.

My basic problem is I'm upgrading from Editor and only have limited hand me down knowledge of that. A lot has been trial and error over the past 3 years.

Could anyone give me some advice on what I should be looking for?

I have spent time working on Emb machines and have worked my way up the the design side of things. I use Corel for drawing so am handy with a mouse and understand the basics of drawing on a computer.

I basically have to persuade the top dog which level would be better to upgrade to and convince him that it's worth it if I want to take my design career to the next level which at 23 is a must!

Any help of advice would be fantastic. This site has been so useful already!

I've only been digitizing for a little over six months now and when I got here they just upgraded to the pulse x2 maestro. I took a couple of classes provided through Hirsch. It's a pretty good program as far as my knowledge of embroidery goes.

I bet the classes were great. Did they teach you all of the software or only the basics?

They taught me quite a bit. They told me how to correctly digitize lettering and differences between fill patterns and whatnot. I've been doing pretty well since then.
