key factors of a digitizing software

Embroidery software that has all the great features of the first one, but with digitizing and more advanced features to make things easier and quicker. For the first time you will now be able to create your own unique designs. That’s right you can now digitize designs!

this is an ad of the digitizing software
a very significant factor of the software is the convenience of a software

Mike,

I digitizing software must be able to make quality digitizing, software that support manual digitizing nicely are my favorite, thats the key factor i think.

Besides that i think that the software should be able to save various multiple file formats, as each machine has different needs of formats.

I hope this answers your question. If you need more info .. please be a bit more precise.

I use Wilcom. They say it is the best out there but it is the most expensive. I also think pulse and compucom are pretty comparable. My first digitizing program was corel drawings. I didn't care for it at all. It took corel vector art and automaticly generated the sitches for you. That sounds really nice but you couldn't put a human touch to it cause there was no manual way to add stitches and make it sew like a professional design should sew. If you want a quality software I suggest you spend the extra money on the real stuff and not get suckered by the cheaper software.

it is to bad you did not research further with the drawings. the wings xp software is the company that made the plug in for corel. the xp pro is @ 16,000 and comes with the drawings. then you have total control.

Yeah, I had the pro version of Corel Drawings with all the plug-ins. Try making a line of copy sew center out the correct way. It just ran a line from the center and still sews left to rignt. Thank god Wilcom gave me a $1800 trade in for it. Wilcom Rocks!! Not saying anything too bad about Corel Drawings, I probably just didn't give it a real chance.

the drawings pro is still not the complete program. the wings xp is stand alone professional software it is just integrated into the corel program.

Sorry, I thought it was. I would like to see the capabilities of this software. I like the fact that it integrates seemlessly with corel draw. Do you know how much the real wings program is that you speak of?

for the profesional and experienced digitizer , in my opinion, Drawings is just a tool. it alows me to digitize my customers art in minutes. most times the art has already been done for screenprinting and now the customer wants 12 or less polos or jackets. often vinyl has been cut for signs. by changing the art for embrodery drawings does a great job. but quality in will do better than garbage. sometimes if the art is complex we do it in wings xp. An adjustable spanner, or wrench, will remove or tighten a nut or bolt but sometimes a socket wrench is much faster it just depends on the job. but it is nice to own both so you have a choice.
