Digitizing Software for Photoshop and Illustrator Files?

Hi everyone,

I am brand new to both this forum and embroidery machines. I have a small home-based business embellishing yoga & fitness wear and want to start adding simple embroidered elements to some of my designs.

I scraped together as much money as I could and purchased a Singer Futura 150. I plan to use it for the 90 day trial period to get some experience then upgrade to something better.

I do ALL of my design work in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. I don't really need digitizing software that gives me drawing capabilities and I especially don't want to have to redraw something I just spent hours doing in Illustrator.

Is there some kind of software out there that will simply use the vectors I've already drawn or "auto-trace" my shapes and "auto-digitize" the shapes into stitches that doesn't cost $1,000+? (I have a spending limit of about $300)

Thanks for your help in advance,

Patty

I am only familiar with DG/ML pulse software which is very expensive and if you search the forum you will see from previous questions, that there really is no cheap digitizing software. Now most software does have autotrace and pulses worked ok(not great) but you will still have to adjust for overlap, density, stitch type(you will want a variety for creativity) so some redrawing is going to be necessary. The company I worked for had an art department that would send me Ill. files but I found it easier to redraw it. Now with that being said, Ill. has a plug in to do digitizing I have not heard how good it is, here is a link with not much info but I guess you could call.....[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

Auto-Digitizing === poor quality for embroidery.

So i think you have to know what is embroidery digitizing software first.

1.Home Embroidery Digitizing Software,Like EOS,PE-Design.
2.Professional Embroidery Digitizing Software,Like Wilcom,Pulse.

If you want digitizing designs for home embroidery,i think Brother PE-Design is enough
If you want digitizing designs for industry embroidery, you have to find a professional embroidery digitizing company, like Embroidery Creation,EmbPunching dot com
