small lettering

Looking for tips on embroidering small lettering usually around 6.0mm looking for info on maybe stitch lengths or density not sure really. Letters are looking distorted and sometimes bobbin comes through hard to read what it says

Hi & welcome to the board,
We have a "small lettering" tutorial inthe forum, i hope you have read that.

In additional, the density and stitch length would really vary per the cloth used. I think you should also look into reducing the density , adding center underlay and setting some pull compensation.

I would use less density and allow for push and pull. O's pull in, I's. M's N's,push up. Adjust when digitizing. Also use solvey if going on a knit, and a mesh backing will help make the letters more crisp rather then a cutaway backing.

-by embroidering small lettering is crucial to hoop properly...

-when i use small lettering on polo shirts(pique) or at fleece, water soluble foil is necessery in order to prevent letters to "disapeer" in fabric.

-on light T-shirt i use also very thiner thread(130-140Nm) and also needles size 9/60Nm

-when you use pull compensation(from my expirience) always use pull compensation per percentage not absolute, cause sometimes letters will not be even...
