How much fabric do I need?

I would like to make a size 8 or 10 twirly skirt. I understand how they are put together, but I haven't actually made one yet. Can someone advise on how much fabric I should buy? I'd like to do a patchwork one with the squares and have my eye on three colors to blend

Well,

It really depends on the size you need, I think 2-3 meters will be enought but as you are wanting three colous to blend, 1 meter each would be enough.

Best way is to measure and calculate.
