What to look for in a good machine

Hi. I was wondering what some of the features are that I should look for when purchasing a new machine. Any help would be appreciated.

Candy,

Buying a new embroidery machine is really a matter of output.

People somtimes buy embroidery machines for personal and home use. these are smaller version machines with less speed and only a few features.

Poeple who dont have a large client base would certainly go for a smaller semi commercial machine... like the Brother PR600, these machines are rigit and can handle heavy load of work in small quantities.

A multi head machine would be great for more experienced embrodierers who have commercial embroideyry work.

Things to look at could be:
  • Number of heads
  • Number of threads (colours)
  • Size of the bed.. this is the max design size you can sew.
  • Cap stitching option?
Hope this infomation helps.

It all depends on your requirements and your budget.
Quality machines can cost you more, but give you good result in long term.

Yes the PR 600 is a good all around starter machine. but it really depends on what you want to do and what level of output you want this machine to produce. If you want factory quality then look at 50k+ if you want to just do some basic shirts for people the PR 600 is fine and that only a few K
