Any own or have knowledge on the Happy HCG/B and HCA models? I'm having problems figuring out the Thread Break Detecting Unit and mending switch. I've followed instructions down to a T and it still isn't working. The needle doesn't come down after mending and it says 'Thread Break'. If anyone can help, it would be very appreciated.

It is possible that you have problems with Thread sensors.If i recall correctly,HCG/B and HCA models on Happy machines have two thread sensors...bottom (underneath thread plate)and top one using thread tension springs.
If so,then first you must see which thread sensor is broken or faulty.
Ussually if thread sensors are not broken and complete,proper cleaning with compressed air should work fine.
Sometimes top thread sensor get dirty underneath thread spring and doesnt make contact with tension base,so automaticaly detect as thread breakage.
In that case,dissassemble complete thread tension unit and clean any possible dirt inside.
