I think that is a big reason why so many girls and women love Twilight抯 leading lady, Bella. She is described as just an ordinary girl, shy in a lot of respects. Even though she is shy she has an inner strength; throughout the book her strength is revealed more and more.

I believe she is a role model for an age of girls where there is nothing more important than how you look. How pretty you are makes or breaks you. We see young girls obsessed with how they look and dress. This is why I think it is a good idea to encourage our young girls to want to be more like a Bella and less like a Paris.
